Hello team,
We are in the process of implementing cloud cost management. When we are downloading billing data, it was noted that we can download data up to 12 months. But our organization is having these Billing data stored in Azure for more than 12 months. We are wondering if there is a way to import these old billing data in to CCM or any best practises for handling such data ?
Thanks,
Eranga

Thank you. This is helpful when we are configuring the OOB billing download schedule. I did that and able to retrieve billing data. But it has a limitation of retrieving data only on last few months. But we have few years of old data stored in Azure. so wanted to see if there is a way to get those old data also loaded into servicenow.

Hi @ErangaI ,
Yes — but not via the native connector for data beyond 12 months.
The out-of-box CCM connector supports spend reporting on 12 months of data https://www.servicenow.com/content/dam/servicenow-assets/public/en-us/doc-type/resource-center/data-...For anything older stored in Azure, you'll need to go beyond the native connector and I would suggest trying the below Approach.
Manual CSV Export → Import Set & Transform Map (12–24 months)
Step 1 - Export from Azure Cost Management
Download your historical billing data from the Azure Cost Management + Billing Portal month by month as CSV files. Ensure key fields are included: Subscription ID/Name, Resource Group, Service Category, Usage Date, Cost (pre-tax/post-tax), Currency, and Meter details.
Step 2 - Load via ServiceNow Import Sets
Import sets act as a staging location for all records imported from a data source before data is transformed into ServiceNow. The data can be imported manually as a one-time load, or scheduled to happen automatically. https://istreetlabs.com/5ss-data-load-using-import-sets/
Use ServiceNow's Import Sets & Transform Maps framework to stage and load your CSV data into the CCM billing layer.
Step 3 - Configure the Transform Map
Define source and target field maps, add optional scripts for complex transformations (OnBefore, OnAfter), and validate data correctness before running at scale.
