I've read the documentation, but I'm still not clear on the distinction between CMDB Groups and Dynamic CI Groups. My use case is a case where we need to upgrade OS on Windows servers. If I understand correctly, when I choose a Configuration Item (on change request) and select a dynamic CI group of Windows servers, I can get a list of impacted CIs that are all of our Windows servers, each of which have an assignment group to use for task assignment. Is this how the model is supposed to work? What then is a CMDB Group? Also, it seems that the dynamic CI group would still need to be related to a business service like Servers, right? I'm trying to avoid a situation where dynamic CI groups are appearing as options in the Service field on CRs but instead are related/linke to a service. I hope this makes sense!
