Asset to CI Ratio concerns

Working in a system that was not maintained prior and I am noticing issues relating to the 1:1 asset to CI ratio. There are many cases where I am finding one CI related to multiple Assets, in one case, I have found 1 CI related to 15k+ Asset records.  Is anyone aware any reports that would be able to help me capture this inconsistency?   

We own ITAM and not HAM.

Thank you, I am familiar with this documentation and our configuration is now setup properly. I am trying to identify a report to measure against the CI/Asset 1:1 record ratio.
