Attributes that can be populated via discovery for IP Switch

I want to know whether MAC address and Device type value for IP switch can be populated via discovery. Thanks in advance

Yes, both the MAC address and Device Type values for an IP switch can be populated via network discovery.

I could see both of them are not getting populated in my client CMDB.  The empty values are feeding to CMDB health score as these are configured as recommended attribute. How can we discover them
