Hi. I would really like to thank everyone who have replied to my post regarding CIS-DF exam before.
It was very helpful and have learned how much contents I must study to be familar with to pass the CIS-DF exam.
I plan to take the exam 6 weeks later from now on and still struggle with grasping the concept of materials.
I hope to complete these 3 courses within 4 weeks since I finished the other recommended courses from the Servienow University.
And then for the rest of 2 weeks I want to solve every questions under knowledge check including other sample exam questions so that I know what kind of questions would be shown up on the real exam.
1. Configuration Management Database (CMDB) Fundamentals
2. CMDB Health Simulator
3. Common Service Data Model (CSDM) Fundamentals
The problem I have had is when I try to read and understand the concepts from the modules from
Configuration Management Database (CMDB) Fundamentals, it has been quite difficult to finish 51 modules altogether since the contents and concepts are so broad according to the blue print of exam. I do not have servicenow experience at work so probably that is one of the main reason as well.
Thankfully, I found CIS - Data Foundation Batch1 [CMDB/CSDM] (35 modules) done by @Dr Atul G- LNG from youtube and watched 8 modules to comprehend the concepts and it has been quite useful for me. However I still found challengeable to follow and complete Configuration Management Database (CMDB) Fundamentals and the worst case of scenario is postpone the exam schedule futher to June.
I admit I am a bit paranoid to take and pass the exam first for free so the pressue is here. If I do not pass this exam by the end of this year three of my Servicenow exam certification will be totally expired which is nightmare according to the CIS-DF exam guideline. They are CSA, CAD and CIS-ITSM. Therefore, it is critical for me to pass this exam hopefully by May or June.
I may have sounded like I am making excuse but I am afraid if I can complete 51 modules from Configuration Management Database (CMDB) Fundamentals and 27 modules from CIS - Data Foundation Batch1 [CMDB/CSDM] at this point. I am positive I can finish 27 modules after all but I would not feel confident going thru all of these 51 modules particularly including other 2 courses and the sample questions with knowledge check.
If you can advise me on the most effective way to utilize the time to be able finish the contents of exam in the right time so that I can be fully prepared for the exam and pass it at first, much appreciated.
Very Respectfully,
Chihyong Kim

Hi @jihyungkim
I want to clarify one point ... and this might help make you feel a little bit less stressed!
Yes, it's correct that anyone who does not pass CIS-DF by Dec 31, 2026 will lose all of the following CIS certs: ITSM, Discovery, Service Mapping, HAM, SAM, VR & SIR.
But CSA and CAD are NOT affected. Nobody with lose their CSA or CAD certifications if they do not pass the CIS-DF exam.

Hi @Simon Hendery
Ok great! Thanks.
Oh I see. I did not know about it exactly to be honest with you and it was silly for me to say it.
I appreciate your clarification.
I feel relieved a bit but I would still like to pass CIS-DF exam and maintain my CIS-ITSM certitication.
Big thanks again.
