Hello
I have the requirement to have some CIs that are currently being classified as cmdb_ci_ip_switch or other classes descendant of cmdb_ci_netgear classified as Network Gear.
If I manually downgrade them to netgear, then discovery will upgrade them to ip switch later on. If I set glide.identification_engine.update_without_upgrade_enabled property to true, then discovery won't upgrade them back, but new ones will still get classified as ip switches (and also it will cause problems for other classes like some windows servers that will stay as computers).
For now, there is no ci that should be ip switch so, is there a way to have them all discovered as cmdb_ci_netgear directly?
Thank you.

Hi @Edelmiro1,
If you need to reclassify a CI from cmdb_ci_ip_switch to cmdb_ci_netgear
Step 1 : Need to modify the SNMP CI Classifier table (discovery_snmp_oid) configuration or Navigate to SNMP System OID in the left navigator .
Step 2 : Search for the SNMP OID number or model number which is getting misclassified as IP switch instead of netgear device. If you find any records, open in a new tab.
Step 3 :Modify table name on the classifier from IP Switch to Network Gear as shown in the below screenshots.
From: Table as IP Switch
To : Table as Network Gear
Step 4 " Re-Run the Quick Discovery on one of the Switch. This should fix your issue.
