CMDB Data Archiving

Hi All,

 

We are planning to implement Data Archiving for CMDB. Initially we taught of using Data Archive feature, but later when going through Servienow documents, it is mentioned to use Data Manager for Archiving CMDB.

But there is no mention about why to use Data Manager for archiving CMDB.

 

Can you please help me in understanding why we need to use Data manager instead of Data Archiving feature.

CMDB Data Manager will provide more control and sequence the CI lifecycle through Retired, Archived and Delete as appropriate to adhere with the policies of your organization.
