CMDB Data Manager Archive policy tasks stay pending

I have created an archive policy in the data manager that do not need a review, so the tasks created should be automatically approved.  I see that the subflow completes, however the task remains in a state of 'Pending' and the CI's that fit the policy filter (there are 5300 records) do not actually get sent to the archive table.  Is there some configuration that I need to change to get this policy to run/complete properly?  I am not sure if just the sheer amount of records take too long to process or what the issue could be, but appreciate any advice.  Also, I know that there is a way to create an archive rule, however my understanding is that for archiving CI's, we are recommended to use the data manager policies.

Hi @micahbugbee5593, I'm seeing this same issue with CMDB Data Manager Archive policies. Did you ever find a solution?

Yes, my issue was that there was so many CI's that needed to be Archived so that it took roughly 12+ hours to complete the task so that's why it remained "Pending" for so long and looked as if it was stuck, when really it just took a very long time to complete the task since there were maybe 10,000 CI's to archive.  Once it finished the initial running of so many CI's, going forward it did not take nearly as long, it just took that long on the initial run after I published the policy.  Hopefully you are seeing the same issue and it completes after some time

Thanks for the update. My issue seems to be different. I was trying to archive near 200k CIs but the CMDB Tasks would not create the archive chunks for a specific CI class and kept failing - which would then put the task back to Pending after initially putting it as Closed Incomplete, and they would never get archived, even after 4 days.

I ended up using an Archive Rule for that specific CI Class which worked well.
