SCENARIO:

In this scenario, you test the reconciliation rule by trying to update a record last updated by ServiceNow with data collected from a data source of LANDesk.

The script contains a changed value for RAM from a discovery source of LANDesk. The current record in the CMDB, for the same server, has a different value for RAM and was last updated by ServiceNow.

Given the reconciliation rule created for Windows Servers, data collected from discovery source LANDesk SHOULD NOT be able to update records that were last updated by ServiceNow.

REQUIREMENT:

Being part of the Cloud Dimensions CMDB implementation team, you are tasked to verify that the reconciliation rule you configured works as expected and that Windows Server records last updated by ServiceNow cannot be updated by a discovery source of LANDesk.

- From System Definition > Scripts - Background execute this script.

You need to execute this script in the background and then check the data. If you follow the instructions you can do it easily.
