CMDB Workspace – “The page you are looking for could not be found”

Issue

When accessing the CMDB Workspace, users encounter the following message:

“The page you are looking for could not be found.”

 

Business Impact

CMDB Workspace is not accessible to end users.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Log in to the instance.
  2. In the left navigation filter, type “CMDB Workspace.”
  3. Click on CMDB Workspace (/now/cmdb/home).
  4. Observe the error message:

“The page you are looking for could not be found.”

Root Cause

This issue typically occurs due to customizations in the CMDB Workspace plugin, specifically in the UX Page Registry (sys_ux_page_registry).

Resolution

1. Repair the CMDB Workspace plugin

Navigate to:
System Applications → All Available Applications → All
Search for CMDB Workspace and click Repair.

 

2. Review and validate the following customizations

  • UX Page Property:
    sys_ux_page_property_9394f4b01bf61110c8698551f54bcb2f
  • UX Page Registry:
    sys_ux_page_registry_4fe450ae8f312010960c53ac37bdee20

Access directly via:
/nav_to.do?uri=sys_store_app.do?sys_id=c8ab76825371201032b7ddeeff7b1280

3. Revert to Out-of-the-Box (OOTB) Configuration

If the UX Page Registry record is customized, revert it back to the OOTB version using:
/nav_to.do?uri=sys_ux_page_registry.do?sys_id=4fe450ae8f312010960c53ac37bdee20

Result

After reverting to OOTB and repairing the plugin, the CMDB Workspace should load successfully without displaying the “page not found” error.

Tip

Always document any workspace or UX page customizations before performing a Repair or Revert to OOTB to prevent losing intentional configurations.
