I have been referring to the docs:

And I have tried adding my own reference entry nothing is displaying on the map with no filters applied.
Has anyone else gotten this to work, looking through the existing out-of-box entries the only one that seems to work is the entry for business application > platform host > business application. The rest are duplicated by an entry in the cmdb_rel_ci table, and once that entry is removed then the node(s) connection is removed from the map.
Any suggestions, other than checking filters (I have done this exhaustively already).
