Hi there,
A CMDB Workspace that appears without any menu items is usually due to one of the following reasons:
1. User Role Missing
The CMDB Workspace requires specific roles to display menu items and data. Ensure your user account has one of these roles:
cmdb_user
cmdb_admin
itil (or a role with similar CMDB access)
2. Workspace Not Fully Activated
Sometimes, after installation, the workspace might need to be explicitly activated or configured:
Go to Workspace Manager and verify the CMDB Workspace is activated.
Check if the workspace is assigned to the correct application menu.
3. Cache or Browser Issue
Clear your browser cache or try accessing the workspace in an incognito/private window. Temporary glitches can sometimes cause this.
4. Data Visibility
If there are no Configuration Items (CIs) in your CMDB, or if your user role has restrictive filters, the workspace might appear empty. Verify that CIs exist and your role has access to them.
5. UI Policy or Client Script
Although your instance is OOB, check if any unexpected UI Policy or Client Script is hiding the menu items (unlikely in a pure OOB instance, but worth verifying in a sub-production environment).
Hope this helps!
Thanks & Regards,
Muhammad Iftikhar

Each workspace has different types of shell template built in workspace.
CMBD workspace shell is built out of box in a shell that do not have any menu items and is by design.
If this helped to answer your query, please mark it helpful & accept the solution.
