Connection between Data Manager Life-cycle rules and CSDM 4.0 Lifecycle Stage/Status?

Hi there,

Is there a connection between Data Manager Life-cycle rules and CSDM 4.0 Lifecycle Stage/Status?

It seems at least like CSDM Lifecycle Stage/Status are not a requirement to use Data Manager Life-cycle rules - or am I overlooking something?

Background: I'm not 100% sure if we would need to first activate the plugin for CSDM 4.0 Lifecycle Stage/Status to make use of Data Manager Life-cycle rules 🤔

FollowUp: According to the `CMDB Rome Delta Features` course on NowLearning, CSDM environment must be set up in advance to using CMDB DataManager and CSDM Life Cycle must be used.

If that is not the case, the CMDB Data Manager should show an error message "Install the CSDM Activation plugin to use CMDB Data Manager."

FollowUp II: Since Utah, CMDB Data Manager supports custom retirement conditions. This means that CSDM Activation is no longer a prerequisite. Instead of CSDM Life Cycle Stages, customers can configure which fields / values indicate retirement.
