I have two questions regarding creating connection (the arrow) between two CIs (no matter they are tagged or not) present in a service map. Appreciate if any inputs.
1. Is there a magic CI relationship which will get the connection created automatically between two CIs without having to add a Traversal rule for the CI classes and relation type?
2. If the above answer is NO, how can you minimize the Traversal rule number? We have many custom applications which are extended from the [cmdb_ci_appl] class. We tried to set the [cmdb_ci_appl] class as the Traversal Parent but it did not work. We have to set the Parent the specific class (a child of [cmdb_ci_appl]) so the connection will get created. By doing so, the Traversal rules will keep growing to a big number as we have hundreds of services to be mapped.
