The question is coming from my business how the "Fail" button on a Certification Task should be leveraged.
For those using the CMDB Workspace Certifications, please share how you are using the Fail button and your process when the fail is used.
Thanks.........

As per my Understanding , In ServiceNow CMDB Workspace Certifications, the Fail button on a Certification Task is typically used as a governance control — not just a “reject” action, but a trigger for data remediation and accountability.
Below is how many organizations leverage it effectively, along with a recommended process you can share with your business.
What the Fail Button Should Mean
When a certifier clicks Fail, they are formally stating:
The CI data is incorrect, incomplete, or cannot be validated as accurate.
It should not be used for:
1.Minor cosmetic issues
2.Situations where the certifier simply doesn’t know the answer
*3.Delegation convenience
Instead, it should indicate a data quality issue that requires correction.
Thanks

I really appreciate the replies. We are coming to a similar conclusion. It is only useful when the certification data needs to be updated. But that requires staff to be monitoring the certification task replies and then engage the business for data correction. In those cases we'd rather direct the cert task assignee to another process for data correction.
Does anyone know if it is possible to hid/disable the fail button?
