Data Manager - Data Certification - Date Last Certified

Hi all,

We're currently in the process of readying ourselves for a migration from the Data Certification Plugin to using Data Manager for our certification with our Zurich upgrade.

Currently we have a rule that upon completion of a task or element being certified it updates two custom attributes we created (u_Validated_on & u_Validated_by). This looks to have been set up some time ago but since it's custom we were hoping to move away from it.

From my investigation. I can't see that data manager does anything similar out the box to provide the ability to see when my application services were last certified for example.

Does anyone know if this capability is available out the box or if it's something we'll need to customise again?

Thanks all

Good question!  This is also something i am interested in understanding.

We use data certifications in Zurich and have also had to do the same customizations that you have previously done.

Currently there are no OOB fields common to all CI classes that can be used to track certification status, as such the Data Manager-based version of Data Certification does not update CI records for the last time certification was performed.

What complicates the matter is that Data Certification is not limited to just CI tables - it can be used to certify data in nearly any table in the platform.  In order to support tracking when a record was last certified you'd need fields added to all tables that could be certified - this has a significant impact.

At this point in time there are no plans to introduce new fields in CI class tables to track certification.  Alternative solutions may be investigated in the future.
