Has anyone created a evergreen process for Service catalog/Request catalog?

We have a large Service Catalog (in thousands). We see some of them have content that is out-of-date and there are others that are no longer needed.

Instead of chasing Catalog owners on the ones which are rarely used, we are looking to come up with an annual certification process so the Catalog Owner can be reminded to make sure their catalog item is up-to-date. We want to leverage it to retire the ones that are no longer needed, as well.

Any ideas?

Thx!

As @Gangadhar Ravi said, Data Certification is the way to go with this.  Seems like an overlooked area of the platform, but is super helpful for tasks like this.
It allows you to create and schedule certification tasks that can be assigned to the catalog owners and you can ask them to certify as many or few of the fields as you like.

The one thing I would call out is that out of the box, when someone rejects a certification element, there is no OOB process that handles that, so you do need to account for that and build a BR or flow, etc... to handle those as desired.

I thought Data Certification only applied to CMDB data. Now that you both recommend it, I noticed the Washington version notes mention both CMDB and non-CMDB tables. Looks like some stuff changed between the releases. Will have to read up on it. btw... we are on Vancouver.

Vancouver Rel:
Data Certification manages scheduled and on-demand validations of the configuration management database (CMDB) data.

Washington Rel:
Data Certification manages scheduled and on-demand validations of data in CMDB and non-CMDB tables.
