I have what seems like a simple task that should have an obvious solution, but I'm not understanding how to get at it, correctly.
The need: report on Configuration Items by the number of Incidents it's associated with (Configuration Item field on Incident table)
I can sort of get at that: I pull a List type report off [incident] table and group by configuration item: boom! There are my counts:
But the groupings and their counts aren't something I can interact with, sort by, or export? I really just want to be able to take out the data as shown above and work with it in excel, but I don't see how? I could manually type out the CI names and their group counts into an Excel, but at 800+ lines that seems really arduous.
Does anyone see a better way for me to report on the # of times a CI is referenced by an incident (Configuration Item field on Incident table)? What am I missing?

Hi,
Have you tested the Pivot type of report? Depending on the time frame your are reporting on then it may give you a good view.

Niklas

Hi @JP-ODU ,
Why not do the simple report without grouping and then create a pivot table in Excel. This will give you what you're going for, and you no matter what going to export the report to Excel anyway.
