Hi All , Need to apply  3 strike rule - If state is in pending and awaiting for user response send three notification to user recurringly to get an update , if there is no response from user resolve the incident. please help on it .

You can create a workflow or flow that triggers when the user state changes to pending. Send three reminders with wait time as one day or the agreed duration in between the notification. Close the incident after the three notification.

You can create another business rule to cancel the workflow if the state change from pending to other state.
