Horizontal Discovery on Azure VMs using Private IP

Hi All,

We are planning to do Horizontal Discovery on Azure VMs. Can we do it using Private IP? If yes, what would be required to do so (VPN Site to Site or express route)?

Hi,

You would generally setup a MID on an azure VM and then set that VM up to allow access across virtual private networks to run discovery. 

Is your customer running a hybrid setup where they have an on-prem dc? Is the desire to have the MID's in the on-prem DC? Although the VPN/express route offers optimum connectivity, ServiceNow strongly recommended having your MIDs 'as close' to the discovered infrastructure as possible.
