How to Find Which Credential Was Used for a CI Created Long Back via Discovery

I have a CI in CMDB that was created about a year ago, and its Discovery source = Discovery.

I want to check how this CI was created during Discovery and specifically which credential was used during that Discovery run.

I tried looking in:

Discovery Status (discovery_status.list) – but the records seem to have been purged for that date.

Discovery Log (discovery_log.list) – no entries available for that IP.

Is there any way to find this information historically (for example, from CI history, sys_audit, or another log table)?

Or is it only possible to see credential usage for recent Discovery runs?

If not possible, is there a recommended approach to retain credential usage details for future traceability (e.g., increase Discovery Status retention or custom logging)?
