Hello Community,
Can anyone give me real- time scenario based questions in IRE rules?
And, also do we have to configure IRE rules? or we have to use the OOTB IRE rules for any classes.

Hi,
I am not quite sure I understand your first question for real-time based questions in IRE rules? Do you mean..."Why do I have duplicate CI records in my CMDB?" Which would be related to "How do I use the IRE rules to avoid this in the future and why did it occur this time?" Or why is an attribute not getting updated as expected? How can I check the IRE and reconciliation rules to determine if there is a conflict between several different discovery sources trying to update the same attribute and who has precedence?
As for the OOB, yes I would suggest using them. A lot of times I have see the order adjust where the "name" one is placed the highest to make sure more granular entries are tried first. You can add your own into the mix based on the class which may help avoid duplicates from entering the CMDB or showing up in the de-dupe task area. Would suggest reviewing the CI Class Manager to make sure the hierarchy is understood for the type of CI you may create IRE entries for.
