Linux Server Discovery physical vs logical RAM

We've migrated from BMC Discovery to ServiceNow Discovery but noticed discrepancy with discovered RAM size on Linux servers. After some investigations it looks like ServiceNow Discovery gets only logical RAM instead of physical.

BMC Discovery used to discover both RAM sizes and we were always using physical RAM in our reports.

Is there a reason why ServiceNow Discovery gets only logical RAM size OOTB for Linux servers?

We noticed this as well, but ServiceNow Discovery does gather the individual memory modules info as well from where the physical memory value can be derived upon. It does match the size values of "dmidecode -t 17" command output on the server.
