I have been assigned the task to make the CI field mandatory in our SN tickets. It has come to our attention that the Change tickets might not have a Configuration Item to enter when new. Right now, we have come up with adding a New CI check box to bypass the field entry if no CI exists in the CMDB yet. Are there any other suggestions that anyone has before we implement?

Hi @Randy Ficken ,
If you want CI field to be filled when the form is in New.
You can make the field mandatory on load.
The New CI checkbox you have mentioned is not clear. Can you elaborate it.

Yes, making the field mandatory when New is the task. The question is when a new CI is being added in the change where it does not exist in the CMDB to enter what do we do. The check box is the option we came up with.
