Need to disable discovery for Computers

Hi experts!

I'm facing a situation here. I've been asked to stop discovery from updating CIs with OS windows 7 enterprise and windows 10 enterprise. Meaning, all computers. I've tried disabling the generic windows in windows classification.

But, still when I run quick discovery, the ci is getting updated by discovery. Is there another solution for this? Apart from excluding the IPs in Discovery Ip ranges.

OOTB classification should not be touched or disabled. can impact during upgrades and may skip .

Instead exclude the IP ranges or IP from discovery schedule jobs .

If you want someone not to touch the quick discovery , you may hide the UI action via acl,roles or UI action conditions.
