New CLass requirement

Hey

I am looking for some advise on creating a new Class in our CMDB. This will be use to store all of our WebParts elements we have used for sharepoint. The idea is that a user can going on the portal and request a WebPart for their Sharepoint site and we can provide this list of what we have available. We will then have the ability to report on who is using what etc. I do believe this is a good case for a new CI class but I am looking to confirm

Thanks

Jack

Have you looked at SDLC Component? The docs page for SDLC Component has this to say:

SDLC component

An SDLC component is a CI that represents a unique development effort of code. It represents parts of a larger business application or digital product broken down into its individually developed components. In other words, the SDLC component is a software element of a larger application or technology.
