Read only access to Attributes in CI Class Manager

Hi

Is there a way to provide Read Only access to the Attributes of CI classes in CI Class Manager? We are wanting to let our Asset & Config team assist us in reviewing out-the-box attributes of CI classes, but I can't find a role that will give them Read Only access.

So far I've tried adding 'sn_cmdb_admin' thinking that would give them a reduced level of admin access to 'sys_dictionary/sys_db_object' tables than 'sys_admin' would - the Attributes section of CI Class Manager wasn't visible to the team.

I also tried both 'personalize_read_dictionary' and 'personalize_dictionary' roles, but only the latter worked - however it gave Write access to the Attributes, which we don't want to give. I would have assumed 'personalize_read_dictionary' would do the job, but it doesn't.

Anyone got any suggestions? 🙂

No — the possible solution is to use personalize_dictionary. I don’t think there’s any other approach to achieve this.

Thanks for your response, Dr Atul. However I require a solution that does not include 'personalize_dictionary' as that introduces Write access to the list of Attributes, (i.e. sys_dictionary and sys_db_object). I want a solution that only allows Read Only access, if it is possible.

Kind regards
