What is a support group in Servicenow CMDB? What are its uses and how the support groups are maintained in Servicenow?

Hi @ Harshini_RR 

 

Support Group, in simple words , the group who support / maintain that CI. SG play a good role when we use this in Change management. also can be used for incident assignment.

 

You can assign CI to SG for approvals/ Notification.
