I want to update 4000 records in the cmdb_ci table based on the Name and Class fields to update the Scope. I prefer to do this only through a background script, not a fix script. Please provide a background script for this—it will be helpful for me.
Thanks in advance.

Which fields on those 4000 records you wish to update?
the value you are trying to update is a static one or it's dynamic?
Share some more details and screenshots.
If my response helped please mark it correct and close the thread so that it benefits future readers.

Hi @vinod6 ,
It will be very helpful if you can provide the more details , what field you want to update on CMDB_CI table.
Background script is not the recommended way, instead you can use the Import set/Transform map.
