Updating Stale CIs

Hi,
Our initial upload (done through excel templates) of CI's has gone stale. Currently we are not interfaced with any of our vendors/systems We have tried to update by uploading new CI templates but this does not seem to remove the CIs from the stale metric. In some cases none of the original fields on the CI template changed. Is it because nothing changed that it does not take it off from the list of stale CI's?or is there a setting that we need to review? Or are there other ways of doing this. We have 8 CI classes that have anywhere between 2 to 9000 records.

During Discovery, even if nothing else changes the Last Discovered field is updated. Since Staleness indicates that it has not been discovered recently, I'd suggest updating the Last Discovered field for each record in the import.

Thank you for the assistance, on our last import there were 6 records, of which 3 had updated but once it imported it did not change anything. We are using the dev instance to test, we do not have the discovery module on our instance, is there a setting we need to change?
