What are potential recovery options in case the CMDB is somehow compromised and the audit tables are not able to be used to recover the data? Some potential options could include copying the tables, exporting the data turning on additional logging...
Thanks,
Erick

Hi Erick,
If you have a customer instance then backups of database are created automatically and in the Support portal you can request restoring your instance with the help of a backup.
More about that topic can be found in the following white paper: https://www.servicenow.com/content/dam/servicenow-assets/public/en-us/doc-type/resource-center/white...
But there is no other solution to back up data of single tables than exporting them to XML.
Reference: Is there a way to back up each table?

SN doesn't facilitate on demand backup for a specific table. Only way to handle this is to take XML backup of your CMDB tables and store it in your local system.
And if your cmdb is compromised, you can request HI to restore it, with closest backup that would be available with SN but there could be possibility of loosing out update made in previous backed up time to current time. Still, you are going to loose some amount of work, and again this step is only for failsafe and not a recommended practice.
