Hello,
New to Service Now. Software for ACC Windows server is showing up in "Software Inventory" tab under the CI instead of cmdb_sam_sw_install. How do you make software from ACC Windows Server discovery go to cmdb_sam_sw_install?

Hi @PennyC ,
To get software discovered by ACC into the cmdb_sam_sw_install table, follow these steps:
1. Enable SAM Integration with Discovery
Go to SAM → Administration → Discovery Integration
Ensure “Enable Integration with Discovery” is turned on
2. Configure Normalization Rules
SAM uses Normalization Engine to map discovered software to install records
Go to SAM → Administration → Normalization Rules
Create or update rules to map ACC-discovered software (from cmdb_ci_spkg) to cmdb_sam_sw_install
3. Run Normalization
After discovery, run the Normalization process
This will create install records in cmdb_sam_sw_install based on mapped software
4. Check Software Model Mapping
Ensure the discovered software has a valid Software Model in SAM
Without a model, normalization won’t create install records
