As CMDB is the greatest database where all the related devices and services are interconnected, is it fair to consider this the core of the platform where all the other modules and technologies derive from, or it would not be correct to consider it so and why?
Thanks.

I'd say its ideal, but to say all other modules "derive" from CMDB suggests that no value can be achieved otherwise.
I simply wouldn't go that far.

HI @pablopinhei
The CMDB is a core component of ServiceNow, as it provides a centralized, accurate source of configuration items (CIs) and their relationships, which supports various modules like ITSM, ITOM, and ITBM. However, it wouldn't be correct to consider it the only core, as ServiceNow is a multi-module platform, and other modules like Incident Management, Change Management, and HR Service Delivery also play essential roles in the platform's functionality. The CMDB is foundational, but not the sole "core" of ServiceNow.
