The CSDM 5.0 released with Yokohama includes new Service Instance (previously Application Service) classes, including a Connection Service Instance and a Network Service Instance class.
In that section, the white paper mentions Network Functions. I cannot find any mention of Network Functions outside of the Telecom Network Inventory module. However, the TNI is not free, whereas the CSDM is supposed to be usable without any additional costs.
Am I missing something about Network Functions? And do you have any insight on how the Telecom Network Inventory module might interact with these new classes, if at all?
Thank you for your help!

Hi @CecGui
My understanding. CSDM 5.0 introduces a conceptual alignment with Network Functions and new classes like cmdb_ci_service_instance, cmdb_ci_connection_service_instance, and cmdb_ci_network_service_instance in core platform.
If you are not a telecom, you likely don’t need TNI, for basic service modeling for network or connection services — you can use the new CSDM 5.0 classes
