Pre-Paris there is the Change Management - Mass update CI plugin. - which allows change requesters to propose and apply updates associated with a change request to one or more configuration items in scope for a change.
However with the advent of Dyanmic CI groups will this eliminate the need for the above plugin.
I can select a "Dynamic CI Group" from the Change Record - Configuration item field. What would I need the plugin for?

Dynamic group can contain multiple CI classes from different "hierarchies", CI Mass update is able to update single class only. I think that's why Dynamic Group is not a good idea to be used in CI mass update.
Of course if you have dynamic group with single class, functionality is "overwriting" little bit.

In this use case, and would be the only use case is a Dynamic CI group that is specifically related to
a single CI Class. Not talking here a dynamic CI group that is a bunch of CIs that relate to an Application Service, because, well I would just select the offending CI or the Application Service.
Technical Service = Compute Services
Technical Service Offering = Windows Server Administration
I would expect there would be a use case where you need to patch Windows 2008 servers vs Windows 2012 Servers.
So I would create 2 Dynamic CI groups
Windows 2008 Servers
and
Windows 2012 Servers
and then create a "contained by" relationship to Windows Server Administration.
In other words, the Windows Server Administration Offering "contains" these specific Dynamic CI groups. Maybe an organization has 2 Windows Server administration groups 1 located in US and one in UK. So the support group is different.
Then I could relate the right servers in a dynamic CI group to the correct Windows Server Administration team based on location. ( I have utilized the SN update set "gift" from K2o to help with auto-assignment based on CI or Service Offering)
Mass CI update does not have that capability.
I can select the Dynamic CI group of servers ( in this case, 2008 servers) I want to patch in the CI field.
So the change would look like this
Service: Compute Services
Service Offering: Windows Server Administration
Configuration item: Windows 2008 Servers
So I if Mass Update CI provides nothing better, then I guess it will be a "legacy" way of doing things.

How do we make Bulk updates on CIs from the Dynamic CI group functionality used on Change forms
