Digital Portfolio management (DPM) View relationship button not showing any MAP for any service.

We are trialing Digital Portfolio Management in our DEV environment and loaded some demo data and also created some custom portfolios.

However when you go to ANY service or a service offering or an business application in DPM Workspace and click 'View Relationships' button, no map is shown and is blank even though the item has dependencies.
The user has dpm_admin and dpm_manager roles and the service offering or the business application or application service has dependency relationships and can be seen in the CMDB Workspace unified map but NOT on the DPM Workspace.
Any pointers?
