How to map technical services manually without service mapping/event management?

Hi looking for a solution to map technical services without service mapping or event management (want to implement for future, no time for that currently), so looking into manually options. I came across dependency maps and views. Can someone please detail how I even begin this process. Step by step and any other feasible manual option that can give a robust view into the service offerings w/ information pertaining to alerts, outages etc.

Try going to the CI? Under Related Item> Click + icon (Add relationship) and start relating CIs manually.

Have you seen this article by David Skowronek? Application Services: How to use them? - CSDM - Common Service Data Model - Article - ServiceNow Com... may be a good starting point for you. It seems like in your case, a Calculated AS (aka Dynamic AS) might be the way to go.
