In which all ways Service Commitment can be used?

I thought the only way to use Service commitment is by adding the commitment on the 'Service offering'

but when I see the Demo data, I see that the Service commitments are tagged to CIs like 'Service Instance', DCG etc

I want to understand clearly on how Service commitments can be/should be used properly.

The only disappointing part about the comment is that it’s not working only at the Service Offering level.

What are the generally used use cases?

Commitments can be used only on Service Offerings.
If a CI is mapped to a Service Offering, then the commitment also cascades downward and applies accordingly.

Even I had the same understanding @Dr Atul G- LNG 

but if you see the screenshot, demo examples by ServiceNow, they are tagging Service Instance also 🙂

So was checking out in community to get more details/clarity on that.
