Hi All,
We have a requirement from client to Perform an analysis if Services and Service Offerings are functioning in accordance to the CSDM framework. I'm new to CSDM and any help regarding the above will be helpful. Please let me know what are the things to consider while performing the analysis.

You can try looking into the CSDM Health Dashboard to monitor if your services are aligned to CSDM.

Hi @Suvetha S ,
I worked on the same subject few years ago; here are the best resources i found in the past:
- CSDM Whitepaper (currently version 4.0) : provide you definition of basic concepts of the CSDM
- CSDM Data model with real world examples : provide you some real use cases of CSDM Modeling
**Please mark my answer helpful or correct if it applies 😉 .
Thank you!

Hi Suvetha,
I agree with @Jean-Emmanuel - first, familiarise yourself with the concepts around CSDM, and then look what has been implemented in your clients production instance. For Services and Service Offerings, you want to check the lifecycle management of these - is there a process to manage that? How well is that process working? (Should Services/Offerings be retired, for example?)
Check the OOTB Service status Business Rules to see if they're active and haven't been customised
Is the client using the CSDM Lifecycle Stage and Status fields or considering that? If they're on the 'old' Phase and Status values, and they have customised those, they will need to consider the impact of moving to the simpler cross-platform Lifecycle Stage and Status fields.
Are the relationships set up correctly between the Service Offerings and the Application Services (if AS are used)?
Are they using Business Service and Business Service Offerings, and also Technical Service and Technical Service Offerings (TSOs)?
If they're using TSOs, are they also using Dynamic CI Groups (DCIG)? If so, have they added a relationship between each DCIG and TSO? Doing this will auto-populate the associated CIs Support Group/Change Group/Managed by Group (assuming these values are populated in the TSOs).
These are some of the elements I'd look for - plus how Services and Service Offerings are being used in Incidents, Problems and Changes.
Please mark as helpful, if this is useful - thanks!
