Common Service Data Model (CSDM) has become the default framework within ServiceNow Ecosystem to align "data" for ServiceNow platform and beyond. Even CSDM concept has evolved a lot since its inception in Knowledge 2017. Multiple versions have come so far, latest being CSDM 5.0 which was published via whitepaper and for the last time 1 pager view of multiple domains represented in a circular fashion was shown. ServiceNow have made an announcement that due to increasing extension and evolution of the framework they wouldn't publish 1 pagers anymore rather they have decided to give a vertically aligned view like in Value Stream.

With AI leveraging Knowledge Graph via Workflow Data Fabric, the focus on DATA is more important than ever. Robust data layer, its access, its processing is crucial with advancements of AI.
If you aim to target enterprise architecture path in your career then having data architectural understanding along with frameworks to develop common definitions with modelling techniques across cross-functional application is the place for you to master.
Please find attached for more details.
- CSDM5 - traditional one
- CSDM5+ as shown in Common Service Data Model (CSDM) Fundamentals On-demand Course (worth attending) and eventually achieving CIS-Data Foundations (CMDB and CSDM) certification too.
