Hi all,
Am losing my mind a little on the ITSM Implementation Simulator - Task 4, for removing "Inquiry / Help" Category, adding Telecom and subcategories for it (conference room etc....).
Steps taken
- On Incident form, on Category field > right click Configure Dictionary
- On "Choices" related list, I made "Inquiry / Help" inactive=true - this removed it from the menu
- I created a new Choice "Telecom" - this now shows it on the menu
- On Incident form, on Subcategory field > right click Configure Dictionary
- I created the following choices, and made the Dependent value = telecom
Conference Room/Other Phone
Fax Line
Office Phone
Voicemail
- I removed the default value (blank)
- On the Dependent field related list > Use dependent field is checked (true)
- The "Dependent on field" is Category
- I created the following choices, and made the Dependent value = telecom
Behaviour is as expected, when Telecom is selcted in Category, the created subcategories show!
Validating the task keeps showing "Task Result: Failed"
Can anyone help please??

Hi @Yasser Al Kindi,
just hit and miss.. I think that the value column expects to have "_" underscore instead of blanks:
Try to update these, e.g. from "fax line" to "fax_line", apply this for all the records...
- office_phone,
- voice_mail,
- conference_room_other_phone
Let me know if that helped, if not, please share also the message from the validation - it can also give you idea on what's wrong...
