We are facing a loss of information included in Closed Requested Items when we modify variable behaviors, as Requested Items are dynamic even if they have a “Closed” state.
For example, if we hide/deactivate/delete a variable on a Catalog Item (which we no longer need), but this same variable contains information on a previously Requested Item, this information will be lost.
In a perfet world, we want the previously Requested Items to remain the same as they were at the time of submission, and the changes applies only on future Requested Items.
My questions are:
Is there a way to freeze/archive all Requested Items, at least those whose with the state “Closed”?
Is there a plan to solve this issue in the future?
In addition, “read only” on variables doesn't work, as the “Requested Item” dynamically follows its “Catalog Item”.
Thanks.

Making changes to the existing UI policy or creating a new UI policy will have impact on existing RITMs:

Thank you for taking the time to search and answer. The publication suggests copying the form and applying the changes to the new one.
Unfortunately this workaround doesn't work for our company because our forms are constantly changing and creating copies involves creating new links that are used in multiple places and need to be updated.
Thanks again
