.MSG attachments are not attached to the Incidents from portal.

Hi Team,

 

We recently observed an issue in our ServiceNow project. When creating an incident from the ServiceNow instance, attaching a .msg file works correctly—the attachment remains after submission. However, when performing the same action through the Service Portal, the incident is created but the .msg attachment is removed.

Could you please suggest the reason for this behavior and guide me on how to fix it?

Was this the same user you tested with? 

Look for any logic on the attachment table. I have seen instances where it was only allowed to add pdf or jpg to the portal through a business rule.
Also check the attachment table to see if the attachment really isn't uploaded. It could be there, but not attached to the created record which could point you to the solution as well.
