My PDI crashed 5 days ago and was never repaired so i finally released my instance. Now I am unable to get a new instance assigned to me. Any recommendations? Thank you

what version have you requested? The latest might be restricted (in terms of number of PDIs) more than any lower.
So if you tried the latest version and it was unavailable, either retry a bit later or request a lower version and then upgrade during night ;))
