I'm experiencing a weird behavior with the mail links of new snow as well as browser shortcut (see printscreen). when clicking on a link, it takes me to the itil frontpage. if i click on the same link again without closing the browser, i get a second tab with the correct page. as soon as i close the browser, it starts all over again. first click: itil frontpage, second click: correct page. I

s this behavior normal in ServiceNow or we can fix this ??

Hi @kumar-adi,

you mentioned a screenshot but most likely forgot to attach it, there's no screenshot in you description, please provide it for better understanding.

Also, quick debugging tip - regardless the issue, try to repeat the same steps in incognito or another browser, eventually clear browsing cache. And you can also impersonate for another user.

Let me know once you have more details please

Hi, The link that is mentioned in the email for approval or the surveys , on clicking the link it first takes it to the service portal ( for establishing the session of that user ) , then only after clicking on the same link again to goes to the correct approval or surveys page. But ideally it should goes directly to the correct surveys or approval page. Isn't it ?

I have attached the screenshots also/

@kumar-adi

that's correct OOTB behavior if user session is not active

they need to login and then they can see the target URL

If they are already having an active user session then directly it should open that page unless something is customized in SPEntryPage script include which might redirect user to different page on login.
