The "Select a search resource" menu has a couple of options more than I need.
The Docs page on the subject reads, "Additional Resources—Tables that can be queried. You cannot add to these. You can see the full list by navigating to Contextual Search > Additional Resources."
OK, but can I deactivate the couple resources I don't want to use?
"Active" is locked down pretty tight. It's not "Read only" at the dictionary level. I checked. I didn't see any relevant ACLs (although admittedly, I may not have locked hard enough).
Anyone have any insight into this? Am I missing some reason why these shouldn't be deactivated (assuming I can even find a way)?

Hi Chad
The Search Action Configurations related list contains all the available Search actions available for the selected Search context. Search actions can be modified and disabled but not deleted and new actions cannot be created.- Navigate to Contextual Search > Table Configuration.
- Open a record.
- In the Search Action Configurations related list, view the list of search actions available for the contextual search.
-
To disable a search action, set the value of Active to false.
- Action label: Label on the action button on the preview window. For example, This helped or Attached To Incident.
- Attachment type: Method to attach a knowledge article with the record. You can embed a link (recommended) to the article or embed a copy of the article.
- Show on new record [Only for Platform]: Enables the Attach button to appear when you are creating a record. Prior to the London release, the user had to fill out and save the form. The user then had to re-expand the related search results to get the Attach button.

Gaurav,
Thank you so much for your response. I followed the steps you described to best of my ability ...
... but I'm afraid I get the same results. "Resolved Problems" and "Open Problems" still listed.
It felt like I was in the right spot, "Contextual Search > Additional Resources". If I don't want to show "Resolved Problems" as a search resource anywhere (because we're not using Problem), I would be think that would be the place to deactivate it.
I appreciate your response regardless. It gave me a couple other places to look. I'll keep looking and report back here if I end up finding a solution.

For anyone looking to have the same done, I could disable them via the list view.
