Communities: How to Send Broadcast Email to Members

How do you send a broadcast email in Communities to your members? 

We are running the Zurich version of Communities. 

PS: Members give permission to receive email from us when they register and can opt-out at any time, so that part is covered.

In Zurich, an OOB way to broadcast to community members is Community Announcements (Global or Forum). When creating an announcement, enable Send email notification to email members in addition to showing the announcement in the community banner/forum.
If you need targeted/segmented messaging (dynamic lists, scheduling, approval workflow, tracking), use Targeted Communications publications with a recipient list that represents your community members. Targeted Comms supports internal and external audiences and sends emails using BCC for privacy.
