When a change request is rejected it should go to "NEW" state but in my case if the change is rejected it goes to "AUTHORIZE" state

Could you please let me know how can i fix this

You just need to modify the workflow to have the rejection path lead back to the Set Values activity that sets the state back to New.

Hi Siddharth,

You need to check what is defined in the set Value activity on the workflow.

For reference please find the workflow for normal change below, you can see that the rejected branch apparently redirects to the set value activity where the state needs to be set as New.
