Hello, I get the following error(in attachment also) that I cannot create more than one SMTP email account in ServiceNow. Is there a reason for this?
Error: An SMTP already defined. There can only be 1 SMTP Server.
Scenario: We want to send DoNotReply@service-now.com to certain users but keep the regular InstanceName@service-now.com for other users .
I am aware of being able to put a different From in the notification itself but wanted to know the reason why this route could not work.

Hello,
Unfortunately, the system won't allow for more than one SMTP email configured.
Per ServiceNow's design this was their intention. As far as why? I'm not aware of a literal definitive answer and you may want to submit a ticket to SN Support/HI just to hear from the ServiceNow technical folk why this may be.
You can setup more than 1...but only 1 can be active at a time.
As far as I'm aware, ServiceNow's email process is only setup to point to one SMTP record, the active one. So there is a hard limit on that due to their direct email process.

I was curious what their answer was. Did you hear back from ServiceNow Support?
