Need to change location automatically based on short description

ex: [S0009R01] we will get the short description like this, and we have same location 0009 is it possible to change automatically.

Hi @Vani14 

Short description is free text field so will not have control on what end-user should put in short description while creating Incident.

Do you have any specific requirement ? How incident are getting logged ??

Yes it is possible to update the location based on your short description. But can you confirm short descriptions always have the same format as [S00010R01]? If not then please provide some more sample formats of short descriptions other than this format.
